Raja Mitra joins Bhaskar Group as Senior GM & Business Head for South India

Bhaskar Group has appointed Raja Mitra as Senior General Manager and Business Head for South India. Mitra will be based in Bhaskar Group’s south zone and will be responsible for enhancing Group’s ad sales revenue and growth in Southern India. Besides these, he will also be in-charge of building and maintaining an authoritative position for the brand in the region.

Commenting on Raja’s appointment, Rajiv Jaitly, President – Ad Sales and Marketing, DB Corp Ltd, said, “We are pleased to welcome Raja on board. Mitra comes with a rich experience of 16 years, spanning various media and non-media organisations. He joins Bhaskar Group from ABP Group, where he was Head of Southern India for five years. At ABP, he was instrumental in building and developing the untapped markets of southern region, while upholding the existing markets. During his stint with ABP, he had achieved a record growth in ad sales revenue for southern region in the year 2005-06 and had set a historical landmark in the organisation.

Mitra began his career with Larsen & Toubro Ltd after completing his PGDM from IIM Bangalore. His other previous associations have been with Caltiger.com, Usha Martin Industries and ITW Signode India Ltd, where he had held high responsibility positions.
