In a move to further fuel the growth of the home delivery segment, Yum! Restaurants India has announced the appointment of Sanjiv Razdan as General Manager of Pizza Hut Delivery. A veteran in the Yum! family, Razdan was part of the core team which was responsible for launching Pizza Hut in India during the mid 90s. Over the years, he has worked in multiple capacities in operations and business development across the US, the UK and India.
In 2002, Razdan moved to Dallas, USA, as Director of Global Operations for Pizza Hut. Prior to taking on the new responsibility, he was Brand Development Director of Pizza Hut in the UK.
Announcing Razdan’s appointment, Niren Chaudhary, President, Yum! Restaurants India, said, “Delivery segment in India is growing at an unprecedented rate, with Sanjiv’s expertise at concept innovation and his ability to create unique and memorable branded customer experience; he will surely prove to be an asset to the organisation. Having had an exposure in the international market, Sanjiv’s strong leadership skills and experience will strengthen Pizza Hut Delivery’s positioning and will help in organized expansion throughout India.”
On his new role, Razdan said, “Delivery is a key growth segment for Yum! in India. It’s a great honour to join the leadership team and have the opportunity to build on its success. I’m very excited and happy to be a part of the new role as General Manager and confident of taking over the challenges that may come ahead. I look forward to growing the brand multi-folds in the country.”
An alumnus of ITC Welcomgroup (Sheraton) School of Hotel Management and St Xaviers College, Bombay University, Razdan has previously worked with the ITC Group of Hotels and has vast understanding of the F&B industry.
