Star Plus premiers two shows online before releasing on-air
Star Plus on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 announced that it has premiered two television series – ‘Aap Ki Kachehri’ (Season 2) and ‘Sajan Ghar Jaana Hain’ (a drama) – on the Internet even before it has appeared on television. It will appear on Star Networks flagship video destination, Star Player.

‘Aap Ki Kachehri’ premiered on Wednesday morning at 8 am, while ‘Sajan Ghar Jaana Hain’ premiered at 5.00 pm in the evening. Following this, on the same day, August 5, the shows premiered on the channel at 8 pm and 8.30 pm, respectively. This initiative is said to be Star Network’s commitment to keeping pace with the collaboration of the traditional media with digital media. This is also said to be the first step for the recently launched Star Player’s objective to stream premium quality shows. The online television product, Star Player, aims to be the online video destination for premium copyrighted content – from the best of Star Network shows and news to other web original content.
