Studio18 restructures its senior management
Motion picture major Studio18 has announced the restructuring of its senior management. Hemant Bhardwaj, who had joined in October 2007, takes over from Priti Shahani (who recently resigned) to spearhead the Domestic Distribution, Marketing, and Syndication verticals from Mumbai. Bhardwaj, an alumni of IIM Ahmedabad, has more than 17 years' experience in sales, marketing and advertising in varied business categories.

Tanuj Garg, who was earlier heading the UK & European operations, whilst looking at International Syndication Revenues, will take charge of International Distribution, Marketing & Syndication from London. An MBA from the Strathclyde Business School, UK, Garg has more than eight years' 360-degree experience in Production, Marketing, Distribution and Syndication. He had previously worked at Applause Entertainment and UTV in key positions and has been associated with various leading media outfits.
Commenting on the restructuring, Sandeep Bhargava, CEO of the advisory company to Studio18, said, "Hemant has been part of the senior management team and he would be able to oversee marketing, distribution and syndication extremely well."
Studio18's forthcoming releases include Dev Benegal's internationally acclaimed ‘Road’, starring Abhay Deol; Arshad Warsi's maiden home production, ‘Hum, Tum Aur Ghost’, starring Warsi and Dia Mirza; Gurinder Chadha's romantic comedy ‘It's A Wonderful Afterlife’ with Shabana Azmi, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Jimi Mistri, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Goldy Notay; and Abbas-Mustan's remake of ‘The Italian Job’.
