Close on the heels of winning the media duties of Royal Meenakshi Mall, ThoughtBox, the full service agency set up by Karun V and Shanawas KA from Bangalore, has got the mandate to handle media duties of Peps, a sleep solutions company. The account size is estimated to be around Rs 6 crore.

The Directors of ThoughtBox have confirmed the win and said that their current focus was on getting varied clients from different genres who were assured of great and personalised services from them.

The creative duties for Peps are handled by People Design and Communications, a Bangalore-based agency headed by V Balaji and Rajeev Ravindranathan. “The involvement of the consumer with the category is very low. This is a problem and an opportunity for us,” said V Balaji, Co-founder and Director/ Strategy. “This is arguably the most challenging product category we’ve ever worked on in our entire career. It’s strange because we spend one-third of our life sleeping, but we don’t pay much attention to it. We’ve come up with an interesting creative strategy to address this issue and are hopeful it’ll help the brand immensely,” said Rajeev Ravindranathan, Co-founder and Director/ Creative of People.

The Peps range of products includes a variety of spring mattresses, pillows, comforters, spring bases, etc.

“Our vision is to remain steadfastly focused in this category and utilise the dormant potential of the segment with innovative thinking. We believe that this will eventually make us the leaders in this category,” said K Madhavan, Managing Director, Peps Industries.

According to G Shankar Ram, Joint Managing Director, Peps Industries, “This industry is a goldmine and the potential that exits in this category is phenomenal. We have an aggressive target for this fiscal and are going all out to ensure our products are available across India.”
