TiE Delhi is partnering with Radio Mirchi to conduct Upswing, a day-long business conclave for SMEs and budding entrepreneurs on August 26, 2011 at Sheraton Hotel, Saket. Upswing will also feature the next edition of TiE Institute Workshop series on ‘Valuations for Startups’.
TiE Institute was instituted with the objective to be a source of actionable knowledge in skills and entrepreneurial elements for entrepreneurs, and aspiring entrepreneurs. The purpose of the Institute is to provide ongoing educational value to the entrepreneurial community through a monthly series of sessions/ workshops on specific issues/ challenges faced by entrepreneurs in their journey.
TiE Institute session on ‘Valuation for Startups’ will cover various aspects of valuation for startups right from methodologies on arriving at valuations, to on how ESOP and preferred participating impact the effective valuations to other key clauses/ warning signs the entrepreneur should look out for.
The session will be conducted by Mukul Singhal, Vice President, SAIF Partners, and Hemant Kanakia of the Indian Angel Network, who will share their practical tips and insights for entrepreneurs to learn more about valuations from the investor perspective and how to negotiate and safeguard their interests and secure their positions.
