Times Mobile’s Follo expands its offering with StarAuctions
While Follo enables the users to receive real-time updates about their favourite celebrities, StarAuctions enables Follo users to bid & buy memorabilia of their favourite movie stars
Follo, the Celebrity Connect service from Times Mobile, has launched its new offering, StarAuctions. While Follo enables the users to share and receive real-time updates about their favourite celebrities, StarAuctions enables Follo users to bid and buy memorabilia of their favourite movie stars.
Puneeth RajKumar was the guest of honour at the launch event, where he unveiled the first StarAuctions item for bidding from his movie, ‘Anna Bond’.
Fans can bid for the items from Web, WAP or Follo App. StarAuctions is accessible to fans from web and mobile. During the auction process, Follo users will receive notifications, on bidding/ outbidding, ensuring they have the best chance of winning their dream memorabilia, anytime and anywhere.
To offer range of such memorabilia to its users, Follo has signed up several leading Bollywood and regional stars for their memorabilia. In coming weeks, StarAuctions will also allow Follo users to bid on memorabilia (such as accessories, apparels, jewellery, etc.) from Jacqueline Fernandez, Poonam Pandey, Radhika Pandit, Sudeep, Akash DasGupta, and Neetu Chandra, among others.
During the event, Times Mobile also showcased the Follo Application, which enables users to get multimedia updates (text, audio, video) from their favorite celebrities on their smart phones. Using the Follo App, users can get notification on latest content and easily share the celeb content with their friends through Facebook. The user interface is currently available iPhone and Android users.
