Khaleej Times, Dubai's oldest English media organization, has appointed Michael Jabri-Pickett as its new Editor-in-Chief.
With over two decades of experience in the Gulf countries, Jabri-Pickett brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.
Jabri-Pickett embarked on his career in the media industry with 'Gulf News' in Dubai, laying the foundation for his remarkable journey. In 2005, he played a pivotal role in the launch of Emirates Today, showcasing his commitment to contributing to the media landscape in the region. His career trajectory led him to Abu Dhabi in 2007, where, in 2008, he played a key role in the launch of 'The National Newspaper.'
Having worked in five prominent news organizations in the UAE over 16 years, Jabri-Pickett ventured to Doha in 2019 to set up and lead the newsroom at Qatar Foundation. His diverse experience across the Gulf region has positioned him as a seasoned professional with a keen understanding of the dynamic media environment.
Expressing his enthusiasm about returning to Dubai, Jabri-Pickett said, "It is a thrill to return to where it all started for me in the Middle East. Dubai is an exciting place to live, and this opportunity with KT is a wonderful chance to continue to tell amazing stories about the people who live in the community in which we publish. My job is to help us tell those stories."
