According to the latest TAM data, the average TVR for IPL matches in the CS 4+ category from March 21-27 is 4.82 per cent. The highest contribution comes from the Mumbai Indians versus Kolkata Knight Riders match on Monday, March 22, which had a TVR of 6.67 per cent.
While Saturday’s (March 27) match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab saw a TVR of 5.28 per cent, interestingly, Sunday’s match (March 21)between Deccan Chargers and Delhi Daredevils saw a TVR of 3.20 per cent. The lowest TVR of 2.57 per cent was for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils. This match was played on Thursday, March 25.
Delhi Daredevils played two matches during these seven days, and both these matches received TVR below 4 per cent. However, Delhi Daredevils had won both these matches.
Whereas Mumbai Indians played two matches during these seven days i.e. from March 21 to March 27 and both the matches enjoyed a TVR more than 6 per cent. To add to this, Mumbai Indians had won both these matches. The other one being on Thursday, March 25, 2010, the second match of that day wherein in Mumbai Indians had played against Chennai Super Kings.
Besides this, the average TVR of the last 23 matches played in IPL3 have received a TVR of 4.74 per cent as compared to the TVR of 4.36 per cent in season two and 4.84 per cent TVR during the inaugural season.
While the TVR of the last 23 matches of IPL3 may be higher than season two but, lower than season one but, IPL3 certainly has the highest cumulative reach for the last 23 matches i.e. 121 million as compared to the previous two seasons. IPL2 had a cumulative reach of 105 million and IPL season one had a cumulative reach of only 88 million in the last 23 matches.
