Disney’s ‘High School Musical 2’ premieres in India
The Disney Channel premiered its original movie, ‘High School Musical 2’ on December 7 at 6 pm. The channel will also announce the eight finalists of ‘My School Rocks’, the inter-school dance competition inspired by the movie, during the Sunday telecast of ‘High School Musical 2’ on December 9 at 11 am.

The Disney Channel premiered its original movie, ‘High School Musical 2’ on December 7 at 6 pm. The channel will also announce the eight finalists of ‘My School Rocks’, the inter-school dance competition inspired by the movie, during the Sunday telecast of ‘High School Musical 2’ on December 9 at 11 am.
‘High School Musical’ became a tween phenomenon world over since its release in 2006, and has received many honours, including two Emmy Awards. This year, the sequel ‘High School Musical 2’ has already garnered rave reviews crossing over nearly 70 million unique total viewers worldwide since its premiere in the US in August.
With a theme that encourages young viewers to believe in own self, express own self, follow his/her own dreams and stay true to oneself, the story of ‘High School Musical 2’ unfurls as the junior year ends, and the East High Wildcats are ready to kick back and make summer the time of their lives.
In India, the Hindi soundtrack for ‘High School Musical 2’ includes three songs produced by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and remixed by DJ Suketu. The original track has been re-recorded in Hindi with Indian instruments, and Bollywood musicians and singers including Sunidhi Chauhan, Naresh Kamath, Shweta Pandit and Neuman Pinto, Hrishikesh Kamerkar and Satya Hinduja.
