Hungama TV’s on-air summer contest ‘Pyjama Pakdo’, which began this year on May 7, has announced the winner. With over 1.1 million entries, 10-year-old Pratik Modak from Hyderabad has been declared as the winner.

Aparna Bhosle, Director-Programming and Production, Hungama TV, said, “This summer, we wanted kids across India to enjoy the mad flavour of the channel. We therefore tuned the on-air and off-air elements of our summer campaign to savour the ‘masti’ holiday mood. We are happy that the campaign struck the perfect cord with our viewers across India. I congratulate Pratik and thank all the other kids who participated in this contest with a great spirit.”

The ‘Pyjama Pakdo’ contest was taken on-ground through a 360-degree media campaign comprising TV, on-ground activation, Internet, radio, outdoor, cable TV and multi-city van promotion. The presenting sponsor for the contest was Zapak.com, while BSA Champ and Kellogg’s Chocos were the associate sponsors.

Children across India took up the challenge and registered a chance to win prizes, since the past four weeks. Everyday, 20 lucky children won binoculars, digital radio, gaming CDs from Zapak.Com and tiffin boxes from Kellogg’s Chocos. The contest got even bigger when the children got promoted at various levels, thus winning the skateboards, walkie-talkie sets, audio-video players and funky bikes from BSA Champ at each level.
