The exchange4media Group hosted the 4th edition of Indian Marketing Awards (IMA) South in Bengaluru on Friday, August 23. The star-studded award ceremony recognized and honoured brands, talent, content, and platforms from South India for their excellence, innovation and creativity. The dazzling awards night was graced by top industry leaders, heads and experts from the advertising and marketing ecosystem in the South.

IMA South 2024 honours the best organisations, individuals, and teams working in South India who have expanded their presence across the region with their impactful strategies and outstanding work.

The big awards of the night ‘Brand of the Year’ award was bestowed upon Diageo India while Maitri Advertising Works took home the ‘Agency of the Year’ honour. Coming to the medal tally of the big winners, Diageo India bagged a total of 13 metals, including 4 golds, 4 silver and 5 bronze metals while Maitri Advertising Works also won 13 metals including 5 golds, 5 silver and 3 bronze metals for their outstanding work and innovation.

The top winning brands were Lulu Group, Tata Consumers Products, Amazon Prime Video and Wipro, while the agencies that won the most metals included PHD Mumbai, Flipkart Ads, Media Monk and Plain Speak.

IMA South recognises, honours and celebrates a diverse set of companies, which have their corporate office and/ or have a marketing division headquartered in South India. The awards were also open to firms headquartered in other states, but have created and run a campaign for the South market.

The Indian Marketing Awards South 2024 recognise and celebrate exceptional marketing achievements in India across 5 prime categories, which are further divided into sub-categories. The five broad categories are - South Awards for Stages of Brand Building; South Awards for Communication, South Awards for Special Marketing, South Awards for Start-Ups/Emerging Players, and South Awards for Excellence/Special Recognition.

An esteemed jury panel comprising of industry luminaries and distinguished leaders from marketing and advertising world deliberated and finalised the winners. This year, the IMA South 2024 jury was chaired by Anupam Katheriya, Chief Executive Officer, Cholayil Private Limited. The other jury members included industry leaders, seasoned professionals, and renowned personalities from the industry.

The event was powered by Laqshya Media Group and Disney Hotstar while the Gold Partner was The Hindu.
