Govt sets up award for influencers

The National Creators Award will be given out in 20 categories

The Centre has announced the National Creators Award to recognise influencers and creators, media networks have reported. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the announcement with a post on X.

"A great opportunity for our creator community, putting the spotlight on the extraordinary talent across India. Whether they are innovating, inspiring, or igniting change, we want to celebrate our Yuva Shakti."


The awards for the influencers will be given out in 20 categories.

As per reports, the categories will be namely for "green champions", "swachhata ambassadors" and "tech creators".

Conceived on the lines of the National Film Awards, those honoured will include creators from across languages and categories.
