Indo Nissin to pull out Top Ramen from India
On June 8, FSSAI had ordered testing of various noodles, pasta & macaroni brands to crackdown on contaminated food products. Top Ramen also featured in that list
After Maggi and Knorr, Top Ramen will be now out from the Indian market. On Monday evening, Indo Nissinhas announced its decision to withdraw their popular instant noodles Top Ramen from the market due to pending product approval from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
According to the statement, the food regulator has requested Indo Nissin to withdraw Top Ramen from the market, until they get the product approval for it and also as a mark of respect for the FSSAI. The company however, is hopeful of getting the approval soon from the regulator and promises to be back soon in the market with safe and affordable food products.

On June 5th, the global head of Nestle had announced its decision to withdraw all the nine variants of Maggi from the market after being found unsafe for human consumption by the food regulator. Nestle had destroyed Maggi noodles worth Rs 320 crore after the withdrawal.On June 10th, then HUL had decided to withdraw its Knorr instant noodles from the market, till the time it gets an approval from the FSSAI.
