Mayank Pareek has been roped in by Tata Motors to head its passenger cars business, according to media reports. He will also be a part of Corporate Steering Committee. "His extensive experience in the passenger car market will play a significant role in harnessing Tata Motors growth potential to help position the company as one of the leading passenger car manufacturers in India,”a statement from Tata Motors is said to have declared:

Pareek is slated to join from October 1st, taking over from Ranjit Yadav who will now reportedly handle overseas sales for passenger and commercial vehicles.
Pareek had played an operative role in strengthening Maruti Suzuki’s leadership position in India.
He had joined MSIL in 1991 and has extensive experience in various aspects of the business such as sales, corporate planning, dealer development, and marketing.
