Streaming service Netflix has unveiled a new logo. According to media reports, the new logo will not be very different from the existing one and the changes may not be very visible. But it will save the company “millions of dollars”.
The new logo is reportedly written in a custom-made typeface. The font, called 'Netflix sans', was developed in-house at Netflix and designed in partnership with fount foundry Dalton Maag.
Previously, the Netflix used ‘Gotham’ typeface and was paying for the license. The reports quoted Netflix brand design lead Noah Nathan as saying that it is nice that Netflix sans would "save the company millions of dollars a year."
