P&G India posts 14% surge in ad spends for Q2'24
Profit After Tax for the quarter was Rs 229 crore, up 10% versus a year ago

FMCG behemoth Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care posted an operating revenue of Rs 1,133 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2023. Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter was Rs 229 crore, up 10% versus a year ago. The profit growth is led by product price mix, productivity, and moderating cost inflation versus the base period, the company noted in its filing.
Total expenses of the company for Q2 FY'24 stood at Rs 840 crore, which was a close to 3% decline as compared to the same period last year. The total income of the company was Rs 1,149 crore for this quarter.
The company spent Rs 127 crore on advertising for the December quarter of FY’24, which is approximately a 14% surge as compared to the same period last year. In the December quarter of last year, it spent around Rs 111 crore on advertising.
However, it saw a 16% decline in ad spends this quarter as compared to the September quarter of FY’24 when it had spent around Rs 153 crore for advertising and sales promotion.
