The final list of nominees for the exchange4media Group’s flagship IMPACT Person of the Year 2017 award, has been announced, emerging from the shortlist of 13 that was unveiled a month ago. The nominees are: Acharya Balakrishna & Baba Ramdev, Patanjali Ayurved; Ashish Bhasin, Chairman & CEO, South Asia, Dentsu Aegis Network; Anand Kripalu, CEO & MD, Diageo India; Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog; Bhavish Aggarwal, Co-Founder & CEO, Ola; Prasoon Joshi, CEO, India and Chairman (Asia Pacific), McCann Worldgroup; Sanjiv Mehta, CEO and Managing Director, HUL; and Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and MD, Nestle India Ltd.
Every year, the IMPACT Person of the Year Award is presented to one or more persons who have made maximum impact in the domain of Advertising, Media and Marketing, and influenced the industry with their significant contribution.
Past winners of the IPOY award include Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder and CEO of Paytm, Arnab Goswami, President & Editor-in-Chief, Times Now and ET Now, Punit Goenka, MD & CEO, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd; Vineet Jain, MD, Times Group; Ambika Soni, then Minister for Information & Broadcasting; Agnello Dias, Founder, Taproot India, Haresh Chawla, then Group CEO, Network18 and Viacom18; Uday Shankar, CEO, Star India; Raghav Bahl, Founder, Network18 and Rajdeep Sardesai, then Editor-in-Chief, CNN-IBN.
The contenders in the shortlist were rated by way of individual communication with senior industry leaders, to arrive at this list of nominees for the award. In the final round of the selection process, there will be voting on the nominees by very senior members of the Advertising, Media & Marketing fraternity, on the basis of exclusive e-mail invites sent by IMPACT. The data from this round of voting will be collated and analysed to arrive at the IMPACT Person of the Year 2017.
