It often happens that a show begins with a bang but loses momentum along the way. But that’s not quite the story with Ravivaar With Star Parivaar. Star Plus’ appointment viewing show, telecast every Sunday at prime time, while continuing its successful run, has beaten traditionally-watched competing studio-format shows across Hindi GECs. Ravivaar With Star Parivaar rated a whopping 2.2 TVR on the same day as the opening of a competitor legacy non-fiction show in the same slot, retaining its stronghold and leading the slot by a vast margin.

More refined data issued by BARC underlines that Ravivaar With Star Parivaar is the top-notch audience favourite across weeks and episodes in a row now. In its recent numbers, till now the show has recorded a reach of 74 million viewers in the category of Most Tuned-in Studio Non-Fiction legacy shows. Other competing shows in the same bracket, with traditional following over several seasons, were left even further behind in the race to the top. Their reach was found to be less than half of Ravivaar With Star Parivaar, which has been having crackling episodes one after the other. It’s not surprising then that Ravivaar With Star Parivaar also topped the list of Most Watched Studio Non-Fiction shows among legacy brands. The show has average impressions of 7.4 Mn (an average over eight episodes’ original airing) vs a legacy non-fiction show (which launched a fresh season in week 32) that clocked average impressions of 6.1 million over the course of its previous season.

Over the last several weeks, Ravivaar With Star Parivaar, Star Plus’ top-rated Sunday prime-time, non-fiction show, has only gone on to prove that it’s the perfect blend of content that has children, and women and men coming back for more. The verdict of millions of Indians is evident in the consistent numbers that the show has delivered with every passing episode with a novel theme. The wholesome family show’s episodes have been presenting the actors as their avatars from their popular daily soaps like ‘Anupamaa’ and ‘Imlie’. And in every episode, while being their ‘reel’ selves, the actors add a twist to the fun and games by presenting a colourful new side to their characters’ personalities.

Previously, we had told you about the BARC data, which indicated that Ravivaar with Star Parivaar has turned around weekend viewership numbers in the PHGEC category by a whopping 22 per cent. Innovative thinking and entertaining content accessible across demographics in the country have ensured Ravivaar with Star Parivaar stands miles ahead of competing programs.
