Sept retail auto sales up 24% on month-on-month basis, highest in 10 months

Retail auto sales in September have been the highest in 10 months, thanks to festive discounts, media reports said.
According to the number of vehicle registration, sales have gone up 24.2 per cent on a month-on-month basis. The surge has been 23.5 per cent on a yearly basis, media reports have said quoting figures from the transport ministry.
While two-wheeler sales have seen 23 per cent growth on a yearly basis, passenger vehicles have gone up 28 per cent.
