Basant Dhawan , General Manager- Media & Digital at Vodafone India has moved to Star India Pvt Ltd in earlier this month. Dhawan has joined Star Sports as Senior Vice President –Sales & will be leading Brand Solutions and Sponsorships across all sports and leagues.
Prior to Vodafone, he has had a successful 4 year stint at Aircel as Senior General Manager – Marketing Operations where he was responsible for the national launch of the Aircel brand in India in early 2009. His previous stints have been across telecom, media and auto companies such as World Space Radio and Escorts Ltd where he successfully led key functions of Business development and Product management.
