Zomato has taken over non-profit organisation Feeding India, as per media reports.
Feeding India will continue to be a non-profit organisation and Zomato will take care of the funding of the initiatives and salaries of the team.
According to reports, Zomato will be revamping Feeding India’s website, developing the ‘Feedi.ng’ app and publish its quarterly financial results.
Zomato Founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal has said in a blog: “In December of 2018, Feeding India distributed 78,300 monthly meals to the underprivileged. That figure has now skyrocketed to over 1.1 million meals a month.”
Zomato’s earlier associations include Robin Hood Army and Akshaya Patra Foundation.
