Amazon is in the process of finalising investment in Diamond Sports, a regional sports programmer, as per media reports.
This will be the e-commerce player's foray into the sports arena.
Diamond Sports filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, media networks said, and is on the negotiating table with Amazon for a multi-year partnership.
Diamond Sports Group holds the local rights for a number of baseball, basketball and hockey teams in the US.
