Hindi daily Hindustan has launched ‘Friends of Hindustan’ in Patna. The initiative aims to identify people’s problems, empower them to voice it and in the process creating a movement.
Launched on December 16, 2013, the first edition of Friends of Hindustan connected with the who’s-who of Patna across segments – educationists, doctors, lawyers, judges, social activists, businessmen, theatre professionals, among others. Major issues pointed out included traffic woes, cleanliness & hygiene, safety, medical facilities, etc.
In the days to come, the ‘Friends’ would reunite every month to discuss the progress, the problems and chart out a way ahead.
Meanwhile, Hindustan has also launched a new weekly supplement, ‘Hindustan Job Search’, to be circulated free along with the paper every Monday.
This 16-page tabloid will feature jobs from across India with a special focus on jobs in Bihar. A special ‘Hot Jobs’ section will indicate the most lucrative jobs for the week.
