With the lockdown period getting extended for two more weeks, HT Media has told its employees to continue their work from home routine till further notice.

In an internal mail, which e4m has a copy of, HT Media CEO, Praveen Someshwar said, “We have been working remotely- homes/field/offices, as required, since the announcement of the national lockdown on March 23rd, 2020. The currently extended lockdown is scheduled to end on May 3rd, 2020, and plans for resumption of activity in most states are expected very shortly by the respective Governments. We may expect relaxations in a phased manner in different states/districts /locations, depending on the severity of the spread of the COVID -19 virus.”

Someshwar also wrote that considering the health and safety of the employees, HT Media has decided to continue with the current approach to working from home, until further notice.

“Employees who are working from home shall continue doing so unless and until asked explicitly to attend office by the reporting manager/functional head with all the necessary precautions. In consultation with the respective function heads, HR will clear those employees who are required to attend office - employees are to attend office in person only once this is done”, stated the letter.
