IRS 2010 Q1: Ajit continues lead among Punjabi dailies, Punjabi Tribune is fastest growing
According to IRS 2010 Q1 data, Ajit continues to maintain its leadership position among Punjabi dailies despite a decline in its AIR (Average Issue Readership). On the other hand, Punjabi Tribune, which is ranked third, has emerged as the fastest growing daily with a double digit growth.

According to IRS 2010 Q1 data, Ajit continues to maintain its leadership position among Punjabi dailies despite a decline in its AIR (Average Issue Readership). On the other hand, Punjabi Tribune, which is ranked third, has emerged as the fastest growing daily with a double digit growth.
Ajit has seen an AIR of 1,063,000 in this round as compared to 1,136,000 in IRS 2009 R2, a decline of 6.43 per cent. No. 2 Punjabi daily Jag Bani, too, has seen a decline in its AIR from 1,122,000 in IRS 2009 R2 to 1,032,000 in the latest round, down 8.02 per cent.
Punjabi Tribune has beaten this downward trend with a 19.43 per cent jump in its AIR - from 243,000 in the previous round to 290,000 in IRS 2010 Q1.
