Mahendra Mohan Gupta, CMD of Jagran Prakashan Ltd and Chairman, Channel 7, has been elected to the Rajya Sabha. Elections for 58 Rajya Sabha seats in 15 states were held on March 28. Telecom entrepreneur and BPL Mobile CEO, Rajiv Chandrashekar, was also elected to the Rajya Sabha from Karnataka.

Samajwadi Party’s Gupta won from Uttar Pradesh with 36 first preference votes.
