Tarun Rai elected AIM President; Mitrajit Bhattacharya is Vice Prez
Tarun Rai, CEO, WWM, has been elected as President of the Association of Indian Magazines (AIM) at the body’s annual general meeting held on October 11, 2011. Rai will be taking over the reins from Pradeep Gupta, Chairman, Cyber Media Group. Mitrajit Bhattacharya, President & Publisher, Chitralekha, has been elected Vice President of the Association.

Tarun Rai, CEO, WWM, has been elected as President of the Association of Indian Magazines (AIM) at the body’s annual general meeting held on October 11, 2011. Rai will be taking over the reins from Pradeep Gupta, Chairman, Cyber Media Group, who completes a two-year stint with the Association. Prior to this, Rai was holding the position of Vice President of AIM.
Mitrajit Bhattacharya, President & Publisher, Chitralekha, has been elected as the Vice President. He has been serving as the General Secretary of AIM since November 2009.
The past Presidents of the Association include Maheshwer Peri of Outlook, Paresh Nath of Delhi Press and Ashish Bagga of India Today Group.
The Association of Indian Magazines was formed in February 2003 to effectively promote the magazine industry in India as well as to create a forum of Indian magazine publishers to represent the interests of magazines and periodicals with consumers, advertisers, advertising agencies and the Government.
