TOI Senior Editor Gautam Siddharth dies after collapsing in office
He was immediately taken to the nearby GB Pant hospital where he was declared dead
Times of India’s senior editor, Gautam Siddharth suddently passed away on Thursday after collapsing in the office washroom in Delhi.
According to sources, many colleagues ran towards the washroom after hearing a loud thud and found that Gautam Siddhartha was lying unconscious on the floor. He was immediately taken to the nearby GB Pant hospital where he was declared dead. While this news was being published, his body was being sent for postmortem.
Gautam Siddhartha hailed from Ranchi, Jharkhand and he lived alone in Delhi. His death was immediately reported to his family members in Ranchi.
A source from the office also told us that his younger brother had left for Delhi from Ranchi to claim his body.
Gautam, who was known for long time as a columnist and writer, was quite active in the news field.
