Tarun Rai will be moving on as CEO from Worldwide Media after a seven-year stint.
“It has been a terrific seven-year journey at Worldwide Media. From a fledgling Times Group-BBC Worldwide JV, that had only four magazines in 2008, we have now a strong portfolio of over 18 magazines. We have also very successfully developed multiple revenue streams through more than 22 event properties, four strong websites as well as powerful social media presence. As a result, we have been showing consistent double-digits growth over these seven years. And we have built one of the best teams in the business. I am very proud of what the team has achieved over these years and I am sure Worldwide Media will continue on its high growth trajectory,” said Rai.
Before joining Worldwide Media, Rai was Managing Partner at JWT. He leverages nearly two decades of experience in the advertising space, and has been instrumental in building brands like Unilever, Diageo, GlaxoSmithkline, Pizza Hut, Reebok, DeBeers, Nestle, Kellogg's and Merrill Lynch.
He has also been President of the Association of Indian Magazines (AIM).
