Radio One is wrapping up the ‘Chak De Gang of Girls Contest’, which was launched along with sunsilkgangofgirls.com, as part of the promotions for the SRK-starrer ‘Chak De India’. This is yet another innovation from the radio station which has the brand proposition of ‘Masti Fataafat’.

The contest, meant for female residents, has been on air from August 1-11. The movie screenings of the film will be held on August 11 and 12 in cities where the radio station has its presence -- Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.

Vishnu Athreya, VP-Programming and Brand, Radio One, said, “Radio One has always believed in creating innovative ideas around movies, and not just tying up with the movie houses to create hype. We believe in offering what the listener wants and in the process, try and create something innovative so that our partners can associate with us as well as reach out to their target audience.”

The contest will have a total of 500 lucky female winners from the three cities, who will get a chance to watch the film ‘Chak De India’. To participate in the contest, the participants were required to listen to Radio One and dial 66943943, or log on to www.sunsilkgangofgirls.com, and answer a simple question.
