BARC data for top 5 English news channels shows combined viewership for Week 32 has gone up by 1.074 million impressions

News channels saw an increase in viewership in the wake of the abrogation of Article 370 and the passage of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, as per BARC Week 32 data, media reports have said.

Data from the Broadcast Audience Research Council of India for the top 5 English news channels in Week 32 shows that the combined viewership has gone up by 1.074 million impressions (59.3 per cent) when compared to the previous week. The total number of weekly impressions stands at 2.885 million and 1.811 million for the two weeks.

Data for absolute weekly impressions shows that Republic TV emerge as the biggest gainer in terms of viewership.
