DD appoints C Lalrosanga as Interim Director General

Doordarshan has appointed C. Lalrosanga as Interim Director General in the wake of the retirement of Vijayalakshmi Chhabra, who was appointed Interim DG of DD in 2014.
Lalrosanga was formerly Additional Director General of All India Radio.
Media reports have quoted an official statement from DD which says, “He has taken charge of the public broadcaster in challenging times, especially considering the proposed launch of the 'Kisan Channel' and four channels for North eastern region.” He will hold the position until the final DG is appointed.
