India will join the select band of countries like USA, UK, Canada, Denmark and Iran etc. with the live telecast of Parliament proceedings on Doordarshan, beginning with the Budget session of Parliament from February 28.

The entire proceedings of the session will go live on DD Lok Sabha and DD Rajya Sabha channels, which were launched on December 14. The live telecast will commence at 11 am every day when Parliament meets and will continue till the Houses adjourn for the day. While Parsar Bharti bosses are upbeat about the live coverage of the parliamentary proceedings, they are, however, keeping their fingers crossed about the carriage of DD Lok Sabha and DD Rajya Sabha channels by the cable operators on appropriate band.
