Hindi GEC genre jumps back; Star Plus and Sony grow
It has been a good week for the Hindi general entertainment genre. Star Plus managed a 300-plus GRP week and KBC’s grand winner of Rs 5 crore took the channel to the No. 2 spot this week. Colors, Zee, Sab and Imagine have all grown in the week.
It has been a good week for the Hindi general entertainment genre. Star Plus managed a 300 GRP plus week and KBC’s grand winner of Rs 5 crore took the channel to the number two spot this week.
Star Plus which had dropped to 273 GRPs last week managed 335 GRPs this week. The week also aired KBC’s episode of Rs 5 crore winner and ratings reflect the interest audiences had in that episode. Sony jumped from 236 GRPs to 287 GRPs this week.
Colors has also grown in comparison to last week and is that 240 GRPs this week. Last week it had 236.5 GRPs. Zee TV also has grown from 131 to 143 GRPs this week.
Sab has grown to 121 from 118 GRPS of last week; Imagine grew to 70 from 61 of last week. Even Star One and Sahara One have seen marginal increase in GRPs this week.
