How different is BARC individual data from TAM?
BARC released its maiden individual data for week 21 (May 23 – 29, 2015). In terms of the pecking order, both rating systems show differences in the top 5 channels of the Hindi GEC genre. While in TAM, Sab TV has taken No.3 spot and Zee TV is a spot below, in BARC ratings, Zee TV is at No.3 while Life OK takes up No.4 spot followed by Sab TV
BARC yesterday for the first time released its individual data for week 21 (May 23 - 29, 2015). At the same time TAM (May 24 -30, 2015) too released its ratings on individual as well as household level.
According to TAM data HSM without LC1 markets for CS4+, Star Plus in individual data was at 260 GRPs this week. Colors at No.2 spot was at 208 GRPs. Sab TV at No.3 spot in individual data it was at 149 GRPs. Zee TV in individual data was at 142 GRPs this week. Life OK in individual data was 126 GRPs in week 22.

BARC India data for 1 lac+ C&S markets which corresponds to a sample size of 47,293 Individuals and 10,760 Households utilizing 12,000 Households data. BARC individual data shows Star Plus at 406 million. Colors in the BARC ratings scored 361 million. Zee TV at No.3 in BARC ratings got in ratings of 232 million. Life OK was at No.4 spot in the BARC ratings got ratings of 224 million. Sab TV in BARC ratings it was at No.5 spot with ratings 187 million.
