K Ganesh, Senior Territory Head, Hindi Movie Cluster, Bengaluru, passed away at 12:30 am on 26th January, 2018, due to a cardiac arrest in Fortis Hospital, Bengaluru. He was 49. His sudden demise came as a shock to those who were near and dear to him, as he was known for being a ‘fitness freak’, according to his colleagues at Zee.
Ganesh, who leaves behind his wife and a child has been working at Zee for more than a decade and was seemingly unwell for the past 2 days, after which he breathed his last at Fortis Hospital, Bengaluru.
Colleagues and friends were seen arriving in Bengaluru to pay their final respects to Ganesh.
Siju Prabhakaran, Cluster Head – South Business, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, said, “It was very unfortunate that this happened. He lead a healthy way of life and encouraged all his colleagues to exercise. I shared a very long working relationship with him. He was a very fun guy to be around and work with.”
Vijaysimha Murthy, Deputy Vice President of Zee News, said, “It was shocking for all of us. He was a man of few words. We’re not able to get over this. He was a good friend and colleague of mine. He will surely be missed.”
