Maharashtra, Assam, AP, TN & Gujarat are top contributors in kids viewership: BARC week 7

Week 7 of the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India ratings, saw a growth in the kids genre, recording 612183 million impressions, while in week 6 and 5 it was 579095 million impressions and 578246 million impressions respectively.

Week 7 of the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India ratings saw a growth in the kids genre. The genre in week 7 recorded 612183 million impressions, in week 6 it was 579095 million impressions, while in week 5, a 578246 million impressions viewership was recorded.

Also, the states which emerged as the top contributors in the week to high viewership includes, Maharashtra, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat.

Maharashtra and Goa contributed to the highest viewership with 115881 million impressions, followed by Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with 56619 million impressions and Gujarat with 53925 million impressions. TN and Pondicherry garnered 48167 million impressions, while Assam, North East and Sikkim contributed to 47897 million impressions.

In week 7, channel Nick continued to lead the leadership position with 129948 million impressions, followed by Disney Channel on second with 94957 million impressions and Hungama on third with 91874 million impressions. Pogo TV and Cartoon Network grabbed the fourth and fifth positions with 66685 million impressions and 57870 million impressions respectively.

In the top five programmes, Nick’s Motu Patlu in Octopus world recorded 1123 million impressions and led the top five list. Whereas Motu Patlu Kings of Kings, Motu Patlu in Alien World and the invisible plane grabbed second, third and fourth positions with 904, 811 and 772 million impressions. Shinchan Movie Villain aur Dulhan on Hungama bagged fifth slot with 768 million impressions.
