NDTV Imagine to go on air from January 21, 2008
The countdown for the launch of NDTV Imagine has begun. The Hindi general entertainment channel from NDTV Imagine Ltd is slated to go on air from 7 pm onwards on January 21, 2008. Some of the shows in the initial line-up include ‘Nachle Ve’, ‘Dharam Veer’, ‘Ramayan’ and ‘Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi Ki Joint Family’.
The countdown for the launch of NDTV Imagine has begun. The Hindi general entertainment channel from NDTV Imagine Ltd is slated to go on air from 7 pm onwards on January 21, 2008.
The initial line-up of programmes from the day of launch includes shows across genres. This includes dance based format show ‘Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan’ at 7.00 pm, leading into period dram ‘Dharam Veer’ at 8 pm. At 8.30 pm, it is ‘Say Shaava Shaava’, touted as a musical entertainer. Though NDTV Imagine had announced most of this fare in November 2007 itself, one show it threw light on only recently was ‘Ramayan’. The mythological will be aired in the key prime time of 9.30 pm.
At 10.00 pm is ‘Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi Ki Joint Family’, a comedy, followed by ‘Main Teri Parchhain Hoon’, a drama, at 10.30 pm.
‘Say Shaava Shaava’ is a celebrity-based talent show that has Aman Verma, Apurva Agnihotri, Divyanka Tripathi, Juhi Parmar, Mannish Goel, Mouli Roy, Narrayaanie Shashtri and Sumeet Raghvan among its participants.
Marketing activities for NDTV Imagine will pick up further near the launch date and the period following the launch. A week after the launch the ratings game would begin for NDTV Imagine as well.
