NDTV net up five-fold in Q4

NDTV has recorded a five-fold increase in net profit at Rs 10 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005. Revenues increased 77 per cent to Rs 50 crore.

NDTV has recorded a five-fold increase in net profit at Rs 10 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005. Revenues increased 77 per cent to Rs 50 crore.

NDTV's board has reccomended a 20 per cent dividend for shareholders. During the financial year 2004-05, NDTV posted a net profit of Rs 35 crore compared with a loss of Rs 50 crore in the previous year.

Its sales jumped 152 per cent to Rs 180 crore. NDTV claimed that in the current fiscal it had grown to become the largest news network in the country.
