Pakistani cross-dresser Begum Nawazish Ali will host a chat show ‘Begum’ on 9X. The chat show will exude the opinionated and fearless qualities of the host, Begum. Known for ‘The Late Night Show’ on Aaj TV in Pakistan, Ali will chat up with well-known personalities on the hour-long show. ‘Begum’ will premiere on December 15, and will be aired every Saturday.
Speaking on her association with 9X, Ali said, “I am delighted to be part of the excellent programming on 9X. I think it’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase my talents and abilities to the viewers of India. Begum is a strong, glamorous and opinionated woman who is unafraid of saying what she thinks. As a character, Begum is elegant and charming, with an edgy sense of humour.”
Ali said that she would chat up with opinion makers, top-notch politicians, and people from film, TV and fashion industries on the show. “I don’t want to restrict myself to any specific kind of section or region. My chat show will just celebrate individuality,” she added.
