PIX’s reality series ‘Gateway’ begins production at Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Woods

‘Gateway’, a reality TV show on filmmaking that will go on air on PIX soon, has tied up with Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Woods International for shooting this 12-episode series in the campus of Whistling Woods.

‘Gateway’, a reality TV show on filmmaking that will go on air on PIX soon, has tied up with Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Woods International for shooting this 12-episode series in the campus of Whistling Woods.

‘Gateway’ features Ashok Amritraj and 18 contestants from all across India who will compete over the next several weeks to get a chance to direct a Hollywood film produced by Amritraj’s company, Hyde Park Entertainment. The winner will also receive an intensive 8-week internship with Amritraj and Hyde Park Entertainment in Los Angeles. The winner will use the internship to learn the intricacies of both the art and business of filmmaking in Hollywood before embarking on directing the Hyde Park Entertainment produced film.

Amritraj, Chairman & CEO, Hyde Park Entertainment, said, “I have been eager to work with Indian filmmakers for a long time. ‘Gateway’ was inspired by my goal to make the path between India and Hollywood easier for talented filmmakers to tread. Since the collaboration with PIX, we have refined the format together, and are now excited to launch a new show that is sure to grab the attention of all aspiring filmmakers in India.”

Anurag Basu, the director of films like ‘Gangster’ and ‘Life in a Metro’ and actor/director Rajat Kapoor, who is best remembered for films like ‘Mixed Doubles’ and ‘Bheja Fry’, form the permanent jury of the show. Every episode will feature a third prominent jury member as well.
