Prasar Bharati has invited applications for allotment of vacant MPEG-2 slots of DD Free Dish DTH Platform. The allotment will be done on pro-rata basis for the period from August 6, 2020 to March 31, 2021.
The slots will be allotted through an online e-auction process.
Prasar Bharati has said only satellite channels licensed by the Ministry of I&B for downlinking in India would be allotted slots on DD Free Dish.
For the auction, the government has categorized TV channels in different buckets in accordance with genres/language.
