Prashant Bhatt, the weekday programming head of Colors, has exited the channel and his duties are to be assigned to Manisha Sharma, the current non-fiction head according to sources within the channel. Sharma will now be overseeing the overall programming of the channel. The channel however hasn’t issued any official statement regarding the same when contacted.
Colors had split its programming team into two in 2012 i.e. weekday and weekend programming. Sharma has that time been brought to the channel from Sony Entertainment Television (SET) to manage the non-fiction programming.
Colors has been performing well in the non-fiction programming space but had been behind competitors Star Plus and Zee TV in the fiction shows as per TAM ratings.
