Sun TV Network’s revenue up 27% in Q2FY24

Profit increases 14% at Rs.456.24 crore

Sun TV Network has reported an increase of 26.98% in revenue from operations to Rs 1048.45 crore in the second quarter of FY24 compared to Rs 825.65 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The total income of the network grew 26.79% to Rs 1160.21 crore against Rs 915.06 crore in the same quarter of previous year.

The total expenses of the network for the quarter ended September 30,2023 stood at Rs 541.06 crore against Rs 370.79 crore in the same quarter of last year.

On a standalone basis for the quarter ended September 30, 2023, network’s revenues rose by 27.82% for the quarter at Rs.1,017.98 crore. The domestic subscription grew 5.34% for the quarter ended September 30, ’23, at Rs.418.23 crore. The EBITDA rose by 36.48% for the quarter at Rs.716.21 crore and profit after tax up 13.86 % for the quarter at Rs.456.24 crore.

At a meeting held today, the Board of Directors declared an Interim Dividend of Rs.5.00 per share (100 %) on a face value of Rs.5.00 per share.
