Sun TV records 16% jump in revenues to Rs 856.97 crore in Q1
The network reported a growth in advertisement revenues to Rs.368.15 crore
Sun TV Network has recorded a 16% jump in revenues in the quarter ended June 30 at Rs 856.97 crore. The network has recorded Rs738.59 crore in revenues for the corresponding quarter ended June 30, 2018.
Advertisement revenues grew to Rs.368.15 crore for the quarter ended 30th June 2019. The Total Income for the quarter ended 30th June, 2019 was at Rs 1,158.07 crore as against Rs 1,159.39 crore for the corresponding quarter ended June 30, 2018. The subscription revenue for the quarter was up by 28 % at Rs 396.94 crore as against Rs 311.27 crore for the corresponding quarter ended June 30, 2018.
The Profit After Taxes for the current quarter was at Rs 381.87 crore as against Rs. 409.14 crore for the corresponding quarter ended June 30, 2018. After accounting for the other comprehensive income (net of taxes), the total comprehensive income for the quarter ended June 30, 2019 was Rs 381.70 crore as against Rs 409.20 crore for the corresponding quarter ended June 30, 2018.
Sun TV Network Limited operates satellite television channels across four languages of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, airs FM radio stations and owns the SunRisers Hyderabad Cricket Franchise of the Indian Premier League.
