Veteran journalist M V Kamath passes away at 93
Kamath was a Padma Bhushan Awardee and the former Chairman of Prasar Bharati Board
Veteran journalist M V Kamath passed away after a cardiac arrest at Kasturba Hospital in Manipal. He was 93.
Kamath had been awarded with a Padma Bhushan Award. He had been the former editor of The Illustrated Weekly of India, and former chairman of the Prasar Bharati Board. He had also worked at Times of India and been the editor of The Sunday Times. He also worked at PTI. Kamath was a member of the Executive Committee of MAHE (Deemed University) and at the same time the Honorary President & Honorary Director of the Manipal Institute of Communication.
Kamath started his career as a reporter with the Free Press Journal. He had authored several books including Narendra Modi – The Architect of a Modern State, Gandhi – A Spiritual Journey and Reporter at Large.
