Starting June this year, subscribers of Zee TV in the UK will receive a quarterly lifestyle magazine free of cost. The magazine will be produced by Zee Network, UK, and Profile Media Group, a media and communications outfit set up for customised publishing and related activities in the UK and the US.

Says Sunil Rohra, Head of Business, UK & Europe says, “The objective behind launching Zee TV Lifestyle magazine is to provide value additions to our subscribers and also to have a channel of direct communication with them.”

“The content will include articles covering Bollywood, the very popular Asian soaps, and features on celebrities from the global Asian community drawn from entertainment, fashion, sport and politics,” he added.

Adds Julian Scriven, Group Marketing Director at Profile Media Group, “Working alongside the foremost Asian TV channel in the UK has proved very exciting for all of the team at Profile Media Group. We have been very pleased by the response of advertisers, who have indicated that it is refreshing to be working with an Asian magazine with a high verifiable circulation.”

A lifestyle publication focusing on finance and property, fashion and beauty products, cinema and television, travel and leisure etc, the full colour magazine will span about 128 pages and have an ad-edit ratio of 40:60. Zee TV Lifestyle Magazine will be delivered directly to its 1,00,000 household subscription base on a quarterly basis for the next 3 years.

Zee TV opened its UK innings in February 1995, when Zee TV began transmitting four channels, namely, Zee News, Zee Music, Zee Cinema and Alpha Punjabi to the UK’s extensive Asian community.
