ZEEL dominates across markets; Star Plus' new show enters Urban top 5 programmes: BARC Wk 20

Zee Anmol continues to dominate overall and rural markets whereas Zee TV leads the urban market.

At BARC India week 20 ratings, Zee Anmol continued to dominate the overall market. The channel saw a rise in ratings this week and registered 912883 Impressions (000s) as against 857264 Impressions (000s) in week 19. Rishtey too has witnessed a hike in ratings at second spot with 679799 Impressions (000s) as against 658382 Impressions (000s) and while Sony Pal witnessed fall in ratings, it has maintained to be at third spot with 571922 (000s) Impressions in week 20.

This week too, the top five programmes list is dominated by ZEEL channels. Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya bagged first spot with 13366 Impressions (000s) followed by Zee TV’ Kundali Bhagya and Kumkum Bhagya on second and third spots with 10902 Impressions (000s) and 9453 Impressions (000s). Zee Anmol’s Mahek stood at number four with 8357 Impressions (000s) and Zee TV’s Ishq Subhan Allah grabbed fifth spot with 8156 Impressions (000s).

Hindi GEC Urban


In the urban market, Zee TV continued to garner the leadership position this week as well. The channel registered 316640 Impressions (000s) as against 314648 Impressions (000s). Star Plus was on second spot with it recording 303672 impressions (000s) followed by Colors on third spot with 281733 Impressions (000s). Sab TV and Star Bharat garnered fourth and fifth spots with 277227 Impressions (000s) and 268089 Impressions (000s) respectively.

Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya, Kumkum Bhagya and Ishq Subhan Allah bagged first, second and third spots with 6695, 5892 and 5268 Impressions (000s) respectively. Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Kulfi Kumar Bajewala stood at number four and five with 5030 Impressions (000s) and 4500 Impressions (000s).


Hindi GEC Rural

Zee Anmol continued to lead the market with an increase in ratings, it registered 706441 Impressions (000s) against 664876 Impressions (000s) in week 19 followed by Rishtey on second slot with 496544 Impressions (000s) and Sony Pal was on the third spot with 390330 Impressions (000s). Star Utsav and Star Bharat stood on the fourth and fifth spots with 303090 Impressions (000s) and 286803 Impressions (000s), respectively.

Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya bagged the first spot with 10685 Impressions (000s), followed by Mahek on the same channel grabbing second spot with 6630 Impressions and Sony Pal’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma stood on number three with 5062 Impressions (000s). Zee Anmol Ganga and Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya stood at fourth and fifth slots with 5042 Impressions and 4208 Impressions (000s) respectively.
