Aaren Initiative has begun 2011 on a positive note. Following a multi-agency pitch, Nokia India has assigned its OOH media planning, buying and implementation duties for the year to Aaren Initiative, a Lintas Media Group subsidiary.

Besides Aaren Initiative, there were 11 other agencies in the fray for the business. Aaren Initiative was the incumbent agency, having worked with Nokia for the past two years.

Confirming the development, Hemant Shah, President, OOH Media Initiatives, said, “This win for Aaren Initiative reinforces our commitment to holistic account management and innovation for brand Nokia and its ethos of being a performance agency.”

The pitch process to evaluate an OOH partner started in the beginning of November 2010 and had multiple stages, including online e-bidding in real time. Apart from the e-bid, agencies were evaluated on their credentials, planning approach and tool, team and understanding of the brand needs.
